Rooted in African heritage, built for the world
The name Baundi comes from the Dagaare/Waale language, spoken in parts of Ghana and Burkina Faso. It combines Baun (call) and Di (eat) — meaning "Call to eat" or "Order food."
This simple yet powerful phrase captures the essence of what we do: making it effortless for anyone to call for a delicious meal and have it delivered right to their door.
We started Baundi with a clear vision — to build a food delivery platform that truly serves everyone involved: the customer who's hungry, the restaurant owner who's passionate about their food, and the driver who's earning a living. Too often, technology platforms prioritise one side at the expense of others. We believe the best platforms lift everyone up.
To create a seamless food delivery ecosystem that connects hungry customers, passionate vendors, and reliable drivers through real-time coordination that feels magical.
To become the most trusted food delivery platform, where every restaurant can thrive, every driver earns fairly, and every customer enjoys a delightful experience — starting in our community and growing to serve the world.
The principles that guide everything we build
Every data change reflects instantly across all apps. When a vendor accepts an order, the customer knows immediately. When a driver moves, the map updates live. No delays, no refreshing.
Customers always know exactly where their food is. Drivers see fair earnings breakdowns. Vendors get clear analytics. Transparency builds the trust our community deserves.
Each screen does one thing exceptionally well. We resist the urge to overcomplicate. Great software feels obvious — you know exactly what to do without thinking.
